More of my favourite things!!
As I took so many photos of doors in China, I thought I would post another few of my favourite…so here goes…
Historic doorways at the Temple of Heaven and The Forbidden City…

Green doors…(isn’t there a song about ‘green doors’…yep just looked it up ‘Shakin Stevens’ sang it)

Communal washrooms it sounds interesting and rather ancient… I adore Chinese buildings and doors, even if they’re shabby or very shabby. I feel so lucky I am following your posts, being so far 🙂

As an oldies fan I often hear Green Door as recorded by Jim Lowe in 1956 on my Sirius XM channel. Amongst the many other recordings the Shakin’ Stevens version spent 4 weeks at U.K. number 1 in August 1981, according to Wikipedia.

You know what John when I looked up the song I did see that it was sung originally by someone else but because I didn’t know him I put the Shakin’ Stevens on my blog. Wow didn’t know it spent four weeks at number one though.

I love China’s spatial relativity in designs. A great variety of doors here which does wonders for writing and the imagination.

I’m also a door person, hundreds of photos of doors. There was a speakeasy where I grew up called the GREENDOOR, for it’s nondescript green door, and there is an OHenry story called The Green Door.( https://americanliterature.com/author/o-henry/short-story/the-green-door)
